The Power-Food Paradox
Why successful women can feel powerful in life
yet powerless with food.
The paradox explains why emotional eating can appear in the lives of women who are otherwise highly capable and disciplined.
It explores how the body can learn to associate food with switching off, relief and regulation.
Once you understand the paradox, the food noise begins to make sense.

How I Discovered This
For many years I believed what most emotional eaters are told. That if I could just find the right diet, or summon enough discipline, I would finally gain control around food.
But despite success in many areas of life, this was the one place I felt stuck. The harder I tried to control food, the stronger the cycle became.
It didn’t make sense.
And that curiosity led me to start looking deeper.
The Realisation
Over time I began to see something surprising.
Many successful women experience the same contradiction:
They feel powerful, capable and in control in most areas of life…
Yet with food they feel completely different.
That contradiction became the foundation of what I now call
The Power–Food Paradox.
What The Paradox Explains
The paradox explains why emotional eating can appear in the lives of women who are otherwise highly capable and disciplined.
It explores how the body can learn to associate food with switching off, relief and regulation.
Once you understand the paradox, the cycle begins to make sense.
If you’d like to explore this idea in more depth, I’ve created a short guide that explains:
• why emotional eating develops
• why discipline rarely solves it
• and how the cycle can begin to shift
